On May 9, 2020, Janso suffered severe spinal cord injuries in a catastrophic accident. The car in which he was a passenger hydroplaned in heavy rain just outside Truro. After 6 weeks in hospital and 5 months in Rehab, he was released home. Like most things he has faced in life, he’s defied all the odds, and all the medical expectations that suggested he’d never walk again. He is entirely focused on his recovery, and his sheer will power is humbling to witness. He can walk, slowly and carefully, and he is able to paint, a bit. He obviously is not working. But his smile is as broad as it was the day he landed in Canada. It’s a difficult time for the family, and Janso wishes to thank everyone for their generosity and their kindness.
